Placed Advisory, based in Livingston, Montana, is a contemporary art and collectible design advisory shaped by three decades of combined experience. We connect the Intermountain West with global art centers—including Los Angeles, New York, and Paris—offering a cultivated perspective on contemporary fine art and collectible design to a region with a rapidly expanding creative landscape.

Although our reach is international, our roots remain firmly in Montana. We proudly support the remarkable contemporary work emerging here, with special dedication to the state’s thriving ceramic fine art community.

We serve both private clients and commercial projects, grounding every collaboration in authentic, personal exchange. Our commitment is to introduce a broader, more nuanced visual language to the West—one that respects the region’s evolving community of collectors while staying deeply connected to the artists shaping Montana’s current art scene.

 

Coryander Friend—Founder, Curator, Advisor

Coryander Friend is a collectible design and fine art curator, based out of LA for 17 years, where she founded the independent design fair, Parachute Market (2012–2016). After moving to Montana in 2020, Friend founded Placed, an art & design gallery in Livingston, Montana focused on creativity in the context of The West. Friend consults and advises alongside a small team of Los Angeles and New York-based advisors and dealers who have extensive experience and relationships in the contemporary art world. She has also worked in the film and advertising industry for 25 years and is a production designer for branded content.
